One of the keys to inventory control is an accurate and fully populated MMS system. The creation of the item master for your system can be a time consuming and tedious process.
HISI can help with this process by collecting information from your departments and returning that information in a clean concise database that you can load to your MMS system.
HISI will conduct data collection in your largest and most unique inventory locations. By utilizing our Audio Dictation method to collect data with a minimum of disruption to staff and business, HISI will record the pertinent information necessary to build your database. By entering areas such as Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab and major storage areas, for example, HISI will collect data on items that you currently have in inventory.
Once returned to HISI's production office the information is entered into our production system. While being entered, the items are matched to HISI's extensive database of products. This database is constantly being added to and updated to maintain the most current data available for products. If provided, HISI can apply the client's purchase pricing to the data collected.
The information returned includes, but is not limited to: location, manufacturer, product reorder number, a uniform description with product size, and any additional information requested by the client. The database that is created can be returned in electronic formats for easy upload to healthcare facilities' internal MMIS systems.
